Under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Serbia, on the occasion of Serbia's Presidency of the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community

Belgrade, 3rd of October 2013.

Regional Energy conference, Energy Arena 2013, will be held on the 23rd of October in Belgrade. Energy Arena is the sixth conference of the type, focused on the Business Energy Sector in SEE. Conference is organized under the patronages of the Prime Minister of Serbia on the occasion of Serbia's Presidency of the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community, organized by Infoarena group in partnership with NIS a.d. and National Petroleum Committee of Serbia.

Conference will be a place for collaboration, open communication and discussions on subject of interest for SEE energy market and those who are interested to invest in its development. EU energy policy will be presented, including short-term and long-term strategies to achieve the objectives of protection of energy security, increasing energy efficiency and reducing the risk of climate change impacts, particularly in the context of the partnership within the Energy Community.

Speakers at the conference will be: Ivica Dačić, Prime Minister, Serbia; Zorana Mihajlović, President of the Ministerial Council at Energy Community and Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, Serbia; Kirill Kravchenko, CEO, NIS a.d. Novi Sad; Fabrizio Barbaso, Deputy Director-General, DG Energy, European Commission; Janez Kopač, Director, Energy Community Secretariat, (Austria); Ian Brown, Senior Adviser, Power and Energy, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and all the ministers of the Energy Community.

Attention will be focused on those policy drivers that are common to all partners from the countries of Southeast Europe and the EU, and to continue to deepen and harmonize the benefit of sustainable development of society and industry without compromising the environment and rich natural resources. Panel discussions will include the views of industry participants regarding the best political and regulatory conditions for a stable and successful development of the energy sector that contributes to economic growth and stronger integration in the region and Europe.
