Ski areas getting ready for winter - news for season 2014/15!

Cologne, 15/10/2014 - Skiers and snowboarders are looking forward to winter. The ski areas have been working hard not to disappoint them: for the upcoming season 2014/15 there has been lots of improvement on lifts and pistes, as to offer visitors easier access and more comfort in the snow. Here are the newest improvements within the Alps.

Austria is a skier's dream! Especially on the five Tyrolean glaciers there has been improvement over the summer. At the Hintertux Glacier for instance, a luxury lift is the newest thing - including heated seats. An illuminated ski tunnel in the Kaunertal, the Adrenaline-Cup in Sölden, and the new ice grotto in the Stubai Valley have added value to all glacier regions. Ischgl is opening the new Pardatschgrat lift and setting up new records, and in Silvretta Montafon the Panorama lift takes visitors up to the Hochjoch-Totale in no time. A construction highlight can be found in Austria's largest ski area: the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental presents the new Aualm lift, which is meant to minimise waiting time to nothing in future.

The Trois Vallées, France's largest ski area, sends info about a number of lifts and the new freeride area "Liberty Ride" opening soon. In Southern Tyrol, behind the Italian border, a new cabin lift completes the Ortler-Ronda in Sulden, and in the Sexten Dolomites another lift and 5 km of new pistes are the attractions this winter.

These are not the only new implementations! Detailed information can be found in our press area (press.snowtrex.co.uk).
