Jedox buys Australian BI vendor and expands position in Asia
Germany/Singapore, 21.7.2015: Jedox, a leading Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management software vendor, has acquired Naked Data, a key Jedox distributor in Asia-Pacific. Through their solution expertise and a newly opened Singapore office, Jedox now offers software and support services to global companies with operations in Asia. This acquisition strengthens the company's leading position as a global BI player and expansion into the fast-growing Asian market.
Naked Data has distributed and implemented Jedox applications as a partner for many years. With this strategic purchase, Jedox strengthens and builds on its broad regional user base at companies such as Standard Chartered Bank, Bacardi-Martini Asia Pacific and Unilever. The company can also offer planning, analysis and reporting solutions and consulting and support services with country-specific expertise in every time zone to clients and partners in Asia.
"Following the purchase of the Mobile BI developer Reboard and successful entry into the U.S. market, the Naked Data acquisition is the next major step for Jedox as a global vendor for Business Intelligence and planning solutions," explains Kay-Ingo Greve, CEO at Jedox. "With the experience from over 1,700 Jedox customers worldwide, we are now extending our focus to the APAC market, where there is great momentum and win-win opportunities for both companies and business partners."
Bernhard Wöbker, head of the Jedox supervisory board, views direct investment in the Asian market as the next logical step. "With its pioneering product and a clear international strategy, Jedox has massive growth potential," he explained. "Our software has already had a successful foundation in the APAC region. By acquiring Naked Data, we further tap this potential to support CFOs, IT specialists and business users in Asia and around the world with advanced business solutions."
The Australian company will be fully integrated in Jedox AG, their management team will head business activities on the APAC market, and expand with new offices across the region.
Chris Mentor and David Upton, managing directors at Naked Data, are looking forward to building on the successful partnership with Jedox under a common brand. "Our clients in Asia want fast implementations of highly scalable cloud and mobile planning offerings with a rapid return on investment. Thanks to its agile self-service BI and flexible rollout options, Jedox offers the ideal technology to tap the potential of this region."
