One in five people living in often agonising pain, Euro 34 billion in lost income and 15 million Europeans considering suicide ... Welcome to a Europe in pain, highlighted for the first time today by the 'Pain in Europe' study.

The largest ever and most in depth study of long term (chronic) pain is unveiled on Monday as part of European Week Against Pain (12-19th October), an initiative organised by EFIC, the European Federation of National IASP Chapters (International Association for the Study of Pain).
