Male sexual well-being the goal as patient ambassadors join Pfizer for launch of new global campaign

Vienna (OTS) - DECLARING V for Victory - An unprecedented international gathering of patient ambassadors join forces at the launch of a new global campaign in Vienna today, (Wednesday 24 March) which aims to empower millions of men worldwide to take control of their sexual well-being.

The 12 men from 12 countries across the globe joined executives from Pfizer Inc to launch the VICTORY campaign, which hopes to significantly increase the numbers of men with erectile dysfunction (ED) to seek the benefits of successful treatment.

The patient ambassadors, who each overcame the stigma of ED, believe speaking out publicly will raise awareness of the condition and give courage to the nine out of ten men globally with ED patients who currently receive no treatment.

Jay Olson, Pfizer Global Director, told an international press conference: "Men will only achieve VICTORY when they feel free to talk with confidence about ED with wives, partners and healthcare professionals.

"Never before have so many men from all corners of the world joined forces to talk so personally about their experiences for ED. I commend each and every one of them for their commitment to the launch of this campaign and everyone at Pfizer looks forward to working with them as we roll-out the VICTORY campaign across the world."

The European Association of Urology (EAU) conference opens in Vienna today, Wednesday 24 March.
