Litigation Filed by Xybernaut Against ViewSonic Settled; ViewSonic Granted License by Xybernaut to 'Dual FPD and Thin Client' Computing Device Patent
FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 2004--Xybernaut(R) Corporation (NASDAQ:XYBR) today confirmed that litigation Xybernaut filed against ViewSonic(R) Corporation relating to Xybernaut U.S. Patent No. 6,421,232 B2, "Dual FPD (Flat Panel Display) and Thin Client" computing device, has been settled and a license has been granted by Xybernaut to ViewSonic.
As previously disclosed in corporate filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Xybernaut filed the lawsuit against ViewSonic Corporation in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in December 2003.
