Qingdao Meets Regensburg: Laoshan Tea Culture Seminar Brings Chinese Tea Tradition to Germany
Regensburg, December 6 - The "Qingdao Meets Regensburg: Laoshan Tea Culture Seminar" took place in Regensburg, Germany, on December 6. The event was sponsored by the Information Office of the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and co-organized by the Regensburg German-Chinese Friendship and Cultural Exchange Association. This seminar aimed to introduce Regensburg's residents to Qingdao's rich tea culture through lectures, live tea demonstrations, and tastings.
Ms. Wang Hua, President of the Regensburg German-Chinese Friendship and Cultural Exchange Association, shared insights into the origins and unique qualities of Laoshan Tea. She highlighted its geographical advantages, historical background, production techniques, and health benefits, including its high amino acid content, smooth flavor, and lingering aroma.
Attendees also enjoyed a tea art demonstration by Ms. Yanli, a Chinese tea artist who has lived in Germany for many years. She explained the distinctive characteristics of Laoshan Tea and demonstrated the traditional brewing process. Participants were invited to engage in sensory activities, learning to appreciate the tea's color, aroma, and taste.
In addition to the tea experience, the event featured an exhibition of photographs showcasing the scenic beauty of Qingdao. A promotional video further illustrated Qingdao's geography, history, economic development, and culture, deepening participants' understanding of the city's heritage.
