WISeKey and Group Brasilinvest join forces to launch WISeKey Brasil

Geneva, Valencia, Sao Paulo, June 25th 2007

WISeKey is expanding its global reach to South America. This cooperation allows the WISeKey Spanish subsidiary, with head offices in Bilbao, to expand its cooperation with Brasilinvest to offer WISeKey�'s technology in both Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. WISeKey is currently a leading provider of Internet security.

The agreement includes an injection of capital into WISeKey ELA by the Brazilian group Brasilinvest, accelerating the setting up of a distribution network in Latin America with 22 subsidiaries and in all Portuguese speaking countries (Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mozambique), to distribute WISeKey technology in a market with 1billion potential users.

Mario Garnero, the Chairman of Brasilinvest Group http://www.brasilinvest.com.br), a holding company located in Sao Paulo with interests in the financial, telecommunications, infrastructure, real estate and agricultural sectors in Brazil and abroad, said: "This agreement to establish WISekey Brasil will allow us to internalize WISeKey's technology in our market and to introduce this unique Swiss technology to be used in other leading Brazilian sectors such as alternative energies. Mr. Mario Garneiro is also the Chairman of Fórum das Américas and president of the United Nations Association-Brazil, both non profitable organizations active in Brazil.

WISeKey ELA and Velasco Group's chairman Pedro Luis Velasco, declared: "WISeKey ELA is delighted to establish this first affiliate in the South American market. WISekey Brasil will reinforce our existing operations in WISekey ELA as it will allow us to expand our unique system for creating and managing safe digital identification infrastructures in Brazil.

According to Victor Canivell, CEO of Wisekey ELA, "The current drive to dematerialize both business and government processes in Brazil will allow Wisekey to actively contribute to the further development of its buoyant economy". He further adds that "now is the right time to enter the Brazilian digital identity market, going beyond the current offerings with more practical solutions".

WISeKey Brasil will extend its presence to all Brazilian States and main cities, partnering with local software services providers to respond to the accelerated demand of the private and public sectors for Internet trust services.
