Presented in cooperation with Insight Media, the publishers of Airport World magazine, this unique conference will be held from April 28 to 29 at the Arabella Sheraton Congress Hotel in Frankfurt-Niederrad. Titled "Welcoming the A380 - Is Your Airport Fully Prepared?," the two-day event will cover the full spectrum of A380 topics vital to airports airlines, service providers, equipment suppliers and other partners preparing for the superjumbo.

On the evening of April 27, Fraport will host a welcome reception at the full-scale model of the A380 cabin section, located at FRA's Terminal 1 in Departures Hall A. Conference guests will be able to get a feel for the future here. Day one of the conference will commence with the opening address, delivered by Fraport's executive board chairman, Dr. Wilhelm Bender. Fraport AG has positioned FRA to be a key superhub in the global A380 route network. Airbus will then give a progress report on its A380 program (orders, delivery dates, future market trends). This will be followed by presentations on A380 preparations at Frankfurt Airport, as well as other international airports such as Dubai, Hong Kong, New York-JFK and San Francisco.

On day two, leading equipment suppliers will present their A380 solutions for boarding bridges and gates, while Fraport will be discussing the challenges of A380 ground handling. The airline perspective will be presented by Lufthansa and Emirates. Rolls Royce - which is offering a new-generation engine for the superjumbo - will discuss how environmental issues played a major role in designing and developing the A380. The conference will conclude with an interactive podium discussion featuring prominent senior aviation and travel executives. They will examine "how the A380 will reshape the travel industry and bring a new dimension to intercontinental air travel." Delegates to the conference will also be able to tour A380-related facilities at Frankfurt Airport, including the passenger terminals and the site of the future A380 maintenance base.
