WISeKey to Establish its Digital Identification Backbone for DestiNY USA

WISeKey to Create 500 New Jobs in Upstate New York to Make DestiNY USA the Most Secured and Visited Destination on Earth

New York, US & Geneva, Switzerland, March 4, 2005, WISeKey was selected by DestiNY USA to implement its Digital Identification Backbone. In turn, WISeKey will open its first office in the U.S. and bring 500 new jobs to Upstate New York over the next two years.

Digital Identification will allow visitors, residents, employees and participating organizations such as hotels and travel agencies to share information in a secure and private way.

The vision of DestiNY USA is to bring together today�'s leading companies and scientists to accelerate research and technology in critical areas ranging from renewable energy and homeland security to green building and design and environmental education. It will take place in a fossil-fuel-free, resort environment that includes the finest hotels and restaurants, an enclosed indoor park, and some of the most extraordinary entertainment and shopping venues found anywhere in the world.

The DestiNY USA Research and Development Park will house firms involved in the design and manufacture of technologies that will be put to use at DestiNY USA. The Park will focus on renewable energy, technology and security products. Construction will begin in 2005 and WISeKey will be located in the one-million square foot signature building upon completion.

The Digital Identification Backbone will be based on WISeKey-Microsoft Trusted Platform using WISeKey�'s unique Trusted Digital identity technology operating on a Microsoft Platform. The DestiNY USA Digital ID Backbone will also detect and authenticate "objects" using wireless cards designed specifically for use in electronic devices and infrastructure, providing total traceability while in and out of the resort.

Further, WISeKey is excited to announce its commitment to open its global R&D headquarters in Upstate New York, which will create 500 high-skilled, new jobs over the next 18 months. In the Interim, WISeKey will become a member of the Syracuse Chamber Technology Garden.WISeKey is a proven leader in strong Digital identity technology and leads the growing market of national ID cards, Internet Voting and e-passports, which has allowed governments to provide services to citizens more efficiently on-line. These ID cards provide the capability authenticate users absolutely.
