First Public Demonstration of CryENGINE2 to be held at the upcoming Game Developer Conference

Frankfurt, Germany / Crytek, the award winning developers of the hit game "Far Cry" and the upcoming original blockbuster PC game "Crysis", announce the world's first public presentation of their CryENGINE 2 middleware to be held at 2007 Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco. Subsequent to the initial demonstration of the technology contained in the CryENGINE 2 which was made at the 2006 conference, a phenomenal amount of world wide public interest and press coverage have resulted.

This year, Crytek will be giving a full hands-on demonstration of the capabilities of their new CryENGINE 2 game middleware to the public as well as potential future licencees. Professional developers and modders alike who attend the GDC will be able to get a first hand look at the tools used by Crytek's own specialists to create their current highly anticipated game. Interested parties should come by Booth 848 and check out the presentation schedule to see at what time their favorite engine or editor feature will be demonstrated. Features which will be shown publicly for the first time include the interactive "What you see is what you play" Sandbox2 Terrain and Visual Mission editor with fully adjustable Time of Day settings, the highly advanced integrated Character Animation Editor, and the new Motion Captured/Phoneme Driven Facial Animation Editor, as well as the new Asset Creation Pipleline for creating realistic, interactive and breakable objects and vegetation.

Professional game development or visualization studios interested in booking individual appointments for a more in depth presentation, or for potential licensing discussions, should send their email requests to gdc2007@crytek.de
