Fraport AG Holds Shareholders' / Annual General Meeting on June 25
Frankfurt a.M. (Germany) - Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide will
be welcoming its shareholders to the company's second regular Annual General
Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, June 25 (tomorrow), at the Jahrhunderthalle in
Frankfurt-Hoechst, Germany. The AGM officially starts at 10:00 in the morning,
with admission beginning from 8:00. Nearly 400 of Fraport's own employees from
Frankfurt Airport will be working at the AGM. Like last year, the shareholders'
invitation card also serves as a valid ticket for the Rhine-Main Regional
Transit Authority (RMV). Shuttle buses will be running between the nearby
Hoechst train station (northern side) and the Jahrhunderthalle all day on
Wednesday. AGM participants will have to go through an intensive security check
when they enter the Jahrhunderthalle.
Roland Koch, prime minister of the German federal state of Hesse and chairman of
Fraport AG's supervisory board will be heading the AGM. Dr. Wilhelm Bender,
Fraport's executive board chairman will present the company's fiscal 2002
results and talk about business development in the current year. This will be
followed by a general discussion. The speeches of Prime Minister Koch and Dr.
Bender will be broadcast live on the Internet at http://streaming.fraport.com.
Prior to Fraport's initial public offering (IPO) in June 2001, the shares in
Germany's largest airport company were wholly owned by government shareholders:
the municipal, state and federal levels of government. Now, 29.2 percent of the
company's stock is owned by private/institutional investors - including shares
held by about two-thirds of Fraport's employees. The remaining Fraport shares
are owned by the state of Hesse with 32.0 percent, the City of Frankfurt
(through "Stadtwerke") with 20.5 percent, and the Federal Republic of Germany
