The Central Electoral Commission of Kazakhstan is confident, that early presidential elections in the country will be held in strict accordance with internationally recognized democratic standards.
To witness the electoral process the CEC in Astana adopted a resolution on additional accreditation of 328 international observers for early presidential elections, scheduled for the 3rd April, 2011.
According to the CEC, by proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, it has additionally accredited 328 observers from foreign states and international organizations.
Among them, 203 are from the OSCE / ODIHR Observer Mission, 54 - from the CIS states, 2 observers - of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, 13 - from international organizations and 56 - from foreign countries.
In total, the CEC has accredited 1052 observers: 357 observers of the OSCE / ODIHR, 425 - of the CIS mission, 13 - of the SCO mission, 156 observers from 24 foreign countries, and 5 international organizations are represented by 101 observers.
Representatives of foreign mass media are also allowed to observe the elections, having temporary or permanent certificate of accreditation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
