Douglas S. Glucroft Joins Nixon Peabody LLP as Partner on Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions Teams

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2005--Douglas S. Glucroft, a seasoned attorney with significant experience in cross-border financing transactions, has joined the national law firm Nixon Peabody LLP as partner on the Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions Teams. He will be based in the firm's New York office.
As a member of the Private Equity and M&A Teams, Mr. Glucroft will primarily focus on inbound and outbound transactions, including investment, M&A, licensing and other strategic transactions.
Prior to joining Nixon Peabody, Mr. Glucroft was a partner at Kahn & Associes, a Paris law firm particularly well-known for its experience in the high-tech industries. During his ten years at the firm, he represented numerous start-up companies as well as mature companies and investors in connection with a wide variety of financing and acquisition transactions. Before that, he served as associate general counsel for Ziff Communications Company (Ziff-Davis) in New York where he was responsible for all legal affairs created by the expansion of Ziff's international business operations. Prior to that, he was an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb in New York and Paris.

Mr. Glucroft is admitted to the New York, Washington D.C., and Paris bar. He earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from Hamilton College. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
